Most likely if you are reading this blog you came from my website, so you already know about my promotional deal going on every Monday night. I just sold one of the two items I discounted, which is what I was trying to do. (figure out if this type of offer would appeal to someone) My goal is to get someone to actually look at my beads and prices to figure out the sale, not just slashing the price and putting a discounted price. The discount is there, trust me.
Actually, if customers are observant, they will notice that I sometimes quietly reduce the price without putting a slash through the price with the reduced price next to it. For some reason, I do not like that look, so you will never see it on my site. But I do reduce items depending on my inventory. Right now I'm preparing for a show, so I will only have the Monday night promotional sale since I need inventory soon.
It's been way too long since I updated this blog, and for that I apologize. I am going to try to set a schedule for updates, otherwise, this blog is pointless.
One last tip....!!!! After 40 years of flameworking and getting burned with tiny bits of hot glass sticking to my skin (my neck mostly) I found a burn remedy that works! I read about egg whites for burns on the internet and I thought to myself, I'll try that one for sure! First because I'm into natural medicine and second what do I have to loose? Well, two days ago, I got hit with a flying piece of hot glass, and yes, it stuck to my neck causing a blister burn within seconds. I put cold water on it and kept torching. (I didn't want to loose the bead I was working on) Well later that night I remember the egg white idea, so I cracked an egg and put the whites on my burn. It never blistered up, the pain went away, and now it's gone! It does work! The funny thing is that I have been putting egg whites on my face since I was around 10 yrs old. I heard it was good for your skin, and I was into skin care when I was a kid. I only wish I had known to put them on burns back then, it would have saved me a lot of pain and scars. But I know now, and will always have it on hand.
Anyway, I'll keep this entry short, I mainly wanted to do an update and try to do them more often. Maybe on Monday night when I'm doing my 20% discount on my site? Take care everyone and have a wonderful Easter.
Until next time......
Vickie
